Sacred Mission Hospital was established in the year 1967 at Pullur, Irinjalakuda with 250 beads. At present the hospital has specialized doctors in General Medicine, Surgery, Obestitrics and Gynecology Pediatrics, Psychiatry, E.N.T., Cardiology, Ortho, Dental, Skin etc. Latest equipments have been introduced in the hospital . The hospital had a humble beginning on 17th December 1951 as a small dispensary. In 1952, the hospital started its service with four rooms and 20 beds with two retired part-time doctors and two nurses of the Holy Cross Congregation. This was the first and the only private hospital in Thrissur during the period.
Presently the hospital has a total bed strength of 1500 with 20 operation theatres and specialized doctors in all branches of medicine. The hospital has an average out patients of 1000 – 1200 / day in different specialities like Medical, Surgical, Orthopaedics, ENT, Eye, Cariology, Gynaecology, Paediatrics, Skin, Dental, T.B. / chest, Nephrology etc.

Elite Mission Hospital was started in the year 1979 and has made quality healthcare more convenient for communities throughout Thrissur and central Kerala. From its humble beginning as Elite Arogya Bhavan, with a 20- bed inpatient facility and just 2 departments, it zoomed to envious heights of eminence and growth and now looms large over skyline of Thrissur with an imposing and magnificent edifice providing inpatient facility of 350 beds with 60 doctors and more than 300 paramedical and non-medical staff. Now our hospital has all departments with super specialty services
